Finally the promised scans update is here! I have added scans of Jim’s features in five magazines plus some clippings! I’d like to give a huge thanks to Cassie yet again for so many of these! Lady you are a doll. I believe we’re only missing a few magazines now (Interview 2007’s full article, NY Times 2008, and some misc. pages). I’m doing my best to buy these when I can financially manage it but it’s getting quite costy so this could be it for a little while, but who knows ;) Remember if you have any origianl scans not in the gallery (or know of some more featured publications) please send them in, full credit will be given.
By the way, Jim is featured in magazine ES from May 19, 2008. As the magazine is only available for one day in the London area with the Evening Standard newspaper I had no way of getting this. There is a copy available on ebay but I don’t have the money for this right now. If you have a copy, please consider donating scans. It would be highly appreciated!
I have now added over 50 new pictures of the Heartless photocall bringing the album’s picture count to 106 (with 47 HQs). I would like to pay special thanks to Riikka, Mariana and Cassie for their help with these new images! (My many thanks!)
Fifty Dead Men Walking is being marketted at this week’s Cannes Film Festival in France. The Guardian has published an article regarding the film, while there isn’t anything directly Jim related here are some excerpts regarding production status and what not:
“The film company have told me this is only loosely based on my life but it’s my life all the same. I was shot here in England by the IRA for what I did to the Belfast Brigade. My mother’s house was attacked, my brother left for dead after a beating long after I was gone from Belfast and in hiding. They should have represented my story more accurately and fairly.” - Real life Martin McGartland
A spokesman for Future Films Limited, the company that co-financed Fifty Dead Men Walking, stressed that the movie was still in post-production and said McGartland had not seen it, so was not placed to make a final judgement.
Big thanks to Steve for the heads up! I have also added one on set image of Jim filming in beautiful Ireland.
And be sure check out a very old and rare picture of Jim on the set of 2002’s TV movie The Quest. Thanks goes out to Johnny for both pictures!
I got an amazing surprise in the donation bin today!
The nice Cassie of Lee Pace Online sent in 36outtakes of Jim’s recent Improper Bostonian feature! (view scans) I think I will go ahead and call this my very favorite Jim shoot to date! It’s so funny and cute. Check out some previews below:
