Jim Sturgess, who is hot after the box office success of Las Vegas card-caper movie 21 and the cult movie Across The Universe will, star in the film Heartless, which Renaissance man Philip Ridley will direct on locations in East London and the Isle of Man, from June 1. The French-born actress Clémence Poésy will play an Eastern European who meets Sturgess’s character. It also stars Noel Clarke, who made Kidulthood and the forthcoming Adulthood movie. Richard Raymond, who is producing the film with Pippa Cross, said it will be a “gleaming and seductive look at the East End”, which will turn the culture of hoodies on its head. Sturgess will play a young man who makes a deal with the devil to become handsome, but then discovers there’s a price for his good looks: he has to become a killer. Source: Daily Mail |
